You're invited to the BIPOC Foodways Alliance Table
Join us at the Table
Not everyone has a restaurant, but everyone has a food story.
At the BIPOC Foodways Alliance Table, these stories are shared.
What is the Table?
BIPOC Foodways Alliance's mission is to dismantle white supremacy through food. One of the ways we do this is by sharing undertold food stories from traditionally marginalized communities at the BFA Table.
How does it work?
We partner with a Co-host to build a menu around their story. Then, we bring people like you in - we host a group of 14 people for a dinner party, where we hear the co-host's story while we eat their food. These dinners are hosted at Union Kitchen in Uptown, every month or so, as resources allow.
How much does it cost to join?
Nothing! As a nonprofit, our mission is to ensure the Table stays diverse, and we want to make sure everyone has a chance to attend.
Why come to the Table?
Everyone has a food story, but not everyone has a restaurant. Our Table event is an opportunity to hear unfiltered stories through the medium of food - you'll have a chance to learn about folks from different backgrounds and build alliances in our fight to dismantle white supremacy. The Table is a platform for undertold food stories, as well as a place to break down silos between our communities.
How do I sign up?
We have a form below - once you sign up, we'll add you to the list for an upcoming event. When the date and cohost are chosen, we'll send an email out to the list, and ask folks to RSVP. Everyone invited is able to invite a guest.
