Stories powerful enough to dismantle white supremacy

BIPOC Foodways Alliance Archive

We believe stories should be told by the people who have lived those stories.

Marginalized communities– people of color, women, immigrants, and elders– have traditionally been pushed into the edges of history– and in many cases, left out altogether.

Food is a language. It is a language the women carry across generations and borders. Sometimes it is the only thing they carry.

We provide a platform for these communities to tell their stories through the power of home cooking– an expression so universal, almost anyone can understand it.

Sitting around a diverse, shared table, we find the tool to unlock what we already know: we are more alike than we are different. And together, we are stronger.

BIPOC Foodways Alliance Tables are centered around the stories of our co-hosts– home cooks with deep culinary wisdom.

Who are the guests at our Tables? You! For a chance to attend a BIPOC Foodways Alliance Table, sign up for our newsletter.
